A Hard Sell

Since coming inside, Checkerboard is behaving in a completely civilized manner. He has had no exit seeking behavior and is soaking up the comforts. He is watchful and polite. But he sure doesn't want to be touched. Not yet. Barely able to reach the cabinet he has climbed up to, I still extend a hand. He is interested but not eager. I will wait as long as it takes.
