Cat Bites: nothing to mess around with.

Writer's picture: My Tenth LifeMy Tenth Life

First thought- be present and pay close attention at every moment or you risk the dreaded cat bite. Wear your sleeves if you can anticipate trouble. Cat's mouths are loaded with bacteria and with curved teeth, that bacteria can get pushed into areas it is hard to clear

Second- do not underestimate the potential danger of a cat bite and watch closely for signs of infection. Get medical attention. Hospital Emergency Departments have swift and clear protocol for that.

I lost control of this post operative feral and I felt the situation would be more dire if she got completely away. My short sightedness and my consequence.

Anyway this kitty is required to remain in the MASH unit, in quarantine for 10 days. She has everything she needs and it is a good opportunity to begin her socialization as she has a 'Party of Interest' waiting for her. She really is proving to be a sweetheart- 💯 feral and very interested in learning about how the other half lives.

Check back in for more of her story
