Well today they went to the vet. Checkerboard needed to be trapped and sedated. Even in sedation, he got away from the vet and tech and ended up having a moment of fluid anxiety. He made his way behind the computer, to the sink and turned the water on. He was and still is, outraged at the attention. Since being home, he has placed himself as far up and away from me as he can get. We will need to start all over again with the trust.
Grace is a little more forgiving. She allowed herself to be held and coddled by the tech and, I think, made a new friend.
