Pobrecita, Poor Little Kitty

Three days after she arrived, Apricot threw up what at first looked like a bloody blob. It turned out to be shreds of thick red waxed paper and a slice of black olive. She sure didn't have access to that while she was in custody here.

It broke my heart to think that she was eating out of the trash somewhere-anything that smelled like food- to fill up her belly.

I was so glad to see her get rid of that and start fresh with some good sustenance.

For the first day or two inside she ate a lot, fast but as she's stabilized, she is proving to be a moderate eater. A good fishy food will coax her back to her kennel, though, when she is in need of corralling.
